Having not had a Savannah Sparrow at my feeder for several weeks, I was surprised to see three there at noon -- presumably due to the recent snowfall. At 3 p.m., I was even more surprised to see that the Savannah flock was now seven strong.

Today there are 10 Savannahs at my feeder (and my first Snow Bunting of the Winter).

Also, the moose carcass had a Bald Eagle on it at Biscay bay, just outside of Portugal Cove South heading North there was a white phrase Rough-legged hawk,I was able to identify with the underwing on top of a tree, got ran off by two huge Ravens at moose skins in a isolated lot,the bird just never appeared much intimidated and went high up hunting,it hunted at approximately 100 to 150 feet high, further down a Raven had caught a moose or vole, never appeared to eat it but stashed the bounty,Buntings on the road to Drook about ten,8 in Renews.Gerard
